Cocktail Meatballs

Nibble away at these delicious morsels of meaty flavor without guilt as you enjoy the game. Serve up with cucumber or celery sticks for more nibbling and a complete meal.
  • 7 oz. (200 g) lean ground beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 grissini/breadsticks, crushed into crumbs
  • 1 large garlic clove, minced
  • 2 TBSP low sodium beef broth, plus more for skillet
  • 1 tsp. dried mixed herbs

1. In a medium bowl combine all the ingredients. Mix well with your hands and shape into meatballs the size of walnuts.

2. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and lightly brown the meatballs, adding a little broth to prevent sticking if necessary. Reduce the heat to low, and cook covered until the meatballs are cooked through and nicely browned.

3. Transfer to a serving plate and serve immediately.
